Today was a hectic day, until I stepped out of my car and saw a package in the mail!  It was a book I had won from Amy Knupp.  She had asked what book of hers we would like, I told her I wanted her favorite as I have never read a single one of her books. But now I have one:  “Because of the List”..  So excited.  I will let you know how it is once I finish it, when I get to it.

And then here is the little note she left me:

Free books

So as many of you may know, today is the day that Deena Remiel’s short story is free on amazon (check out my previous post). Also I was bored this morning and decided to look through some ebooks for the kindle that were offered free. I got 16. As you can tell I’m an avid reader. But most, actually all, are romances. ^_^. I will put up later what I got an let you know.

Also another good short story to read is Wicked Werewolf Night by Lisa Renee Jones. Short but oh so worth the read. I really enjoyed it. Giving it 5 stars!

Free Paranormal Romance

For all you paranormal romance bookworms out there, check this out.  It’s from Deena Remiel herself, a FREE paranormal romance for Mother’s Day.  Here is the link to check it out:

So, I suggest you check it out, read the kindle edition book and post a review of it!  I know she will love it!

Ever since I can remember I’ve wanted to be a writer, not just any writer, but a well-known one.  Now I want to be a writer and I’m currently investing my free time to reading romance novels, watching romantic comedies, etc as research for my own book.  Well, my time invested in these free extra-curricular activities are what I’ve always done.  So, no newness there.

Anyway, as I’m sure you know, writing a book is something that is hella difficult to do.  You have to come up with your two main characters, ie the hero and heroine.  Perhaps a few minor characters that are always there, ie best friends, workers, regular people in the characters’ lives, etc.  Then there is the plot, the conflict, the time and place, and of course, paranormal or not.  This is all involved in writing and it is so hard to come up with.

However, I have come up with 6 characters thus far in my story, 3 of which have already shown up and it hasn’t even been but 3 pages and 1300 words.  Hey, I’m only on chapter 1 so far and this is harder than I thought.

On the upside, I have actually talked to a few authors (Jade Lee, Larissa Ione, Laura Wright, Lauren Dane, Anya Bast, Tessa Dawn, etc just to name a few) have told me to just keep on writing and that I should be fine.  So, that’s what I’m doing.  Writing everyday until I finish this book and edit it myself then perhaps I will send it off to some publishers and *fingers crossed* get my book published!  Then perhaps I can start on a series I’ve been thinking about.  But of course, it all depends on the time and if anyone actually likes it.  Maybe I will even get a series of short novellas published, but who knows for sure.

Anyway.  Off to finish chapter 1, maybe I will post some excerpts, but I’m not entirely sure because you never know who will steal your work.  I’ve heard that it has happened a time or two.  So, off to writing and will be back to post what I think is best!  Maybe I will just post some other stuff up, who knows.  I’ll just keep you guessing..

Contests and Fun

I know how everyone here loves a contest and the chance to win something for free!  I know I do.  So, I’m going to let ya’ll in on a lil secret:

Laura Wright is this amazing author for paranormal romances and is having contests like all day today. The like is below:

So there is a possibility that you could win! I’ve won on Larissa Ione’s contests before and so let me tell you, you can too!

That’s what I have for now.

Kill Me Now….

I didn’t realize how difficult it was to write on a daily basis. I use to be able to write in a journal daily, I mean hand write everything down. On blogs, people seem to only want to write about interesting things, not things that they have done or seen on a daily basis. Here it’s different than when you grew up writing in a journal.  I kinda wish that I could just write down what I do on a daily basis.  But most people don’t want to read about that. They want to read about sex, drugs, murder, and rock-n-roll! haha. Nah, I suppose not.  They just wanna read about something juicy. I honestly do not know.

Today, I have actually been debating on writing my first novel. I mean, I have a lot of shorts that I’ve written, but I actually want to write my first novel. Maybe see if I can publish it. Get some extra cash. Start my hobby once and for all! Bam! I have this great idea, but I’m not sure as to how to put it into action, writing.  I’ve got my main characters, but I’m thinking of changing them up a bit.

I really like paranormal stuff, not normal. I like the supernatural beings of the world. Vampyres, weres of any kind, faeries, witches, highlanders that travel forward in time, etc.  Girls, you know what I’m talking about! 😉

Well, I’m gonna get off and leave with this thought in mind for those that actually read this:  Write until you can’t write anymore. If you can’t blog, then write in an actual journal. If you want to write a story, who cares if it’s not perfect, write it anyway!
